Development Engineer

Job Scope

The Development Engineer will be an important part of the team performing experimental functional testing, modelling, development and design of AICV® and related lower completion equipment for oil and gas wells. In addition, a key function is to provide research and qualification support in different projects. Control and performing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) should be performed also.

This position requires the employee to perform all tasks and duties that naturally form part of, or is encompassed by the Employee’s position, considering the established practices of the Company and commercial best practices. The employee ensures to follow the regulations and special instructions applicable to the Employee’s position as well as general regulations and instructions as amended from time to time by the Company. The position will be located at InflowControl’s HQ in Porsgrunn, Norway.

Competence Requirements

Higher Education

  • Master of Science with preference in Mechanical Engineering combined with specialization within fluid dynamics
  • Language:  English (spoken and written) and Norwegian (spoken)

Work experience

  • 0-5 years’ experience as engineer
  • Good knowledge of fluid dynamics

Main responsibilities

  • Perform experimental functional testing
  • Perform different qualification projects like erosion testing, clean-up and others
  • Perform different kind of modelling
  • Development and design the AICV® and related lower completion equipment
  • Ensure equipment is of practical, manufacturable design
  • Participate in various phases of project
  • Ensure QA in all deliveries and technical designs for customers
  • Prepare technical sections of case evaluations as part of technical proposal process
