InflowControl optimizes oil production with Malaysian multi-well AICV® campaign

We are proud to announce the successful completion of our first Autonomous Inflow Control Valve (AICV®) installations with an independent operator in Malaysia.

InflowControl’s AICV® technology remains “open” to flow from oil-saturated zones and autonomously restricts unwanted water and gas without any intervention or requirements for downhole power or control lines. The design of the AICVs is tailored for each reservoir’s needs and the operator’s objectives. AICV® enables operators to optimize zonal production rates based on the multiphase composition of the reservoir fluids, as AICVs are designed to choke water and gas based on the differences in viscosity and density of the fluids. This enables enhanced ultimate oil recovery, reduced well intervention and reduced CO2 intensity per BOPD.

This achievement highlights trust from operators, our commitment to drive innovation and our ability to penetrate new markets. We are committed to supporting and collaborating with operators in Southeast Asia and have invested to establish our local presence over the past several years. Tapping into operators' demand for low-cost oil production while also reducing emissions, this application of technology helps operators in solving challenges of reducing GOR and high water-cut.

“We continue to change the oil industry and are proud to expand our markets and successfully complete our first AICV® installations in Malaysia,” said Dr. Vidar Mathiesen, CEO of InflowControl. “This achievement demonstrates our dedication to deliver game-changing reservoir management solutions and that we are focused on Making Better Wells for our customers.”
